I posted the little meme that's been going around my circle of LJ friends on my real website.

+ What spice girl were you when you were young?
In my group of friends, I was the one who was supposed to be Posh Spice. Yeah, we had rules for this kind of thing, and I was the only one who had a Little Black Dress.

+ Backstreet Boys or NSync?
I guess it would have to be Backstreet Boys. I actively hated both, but I was younger when the Backstreet Boys were popular, so I had friends who actually liked them.

+ Did you watch S Club 7?
No. Ugh. (Martinemonster, it was called S Club 7 in Norway too)

+ What was your favorite, Sandlot or Little Rascals?
I have no idea what you're talking about.

+ Did you ever have light up sneakers?
Yes. Although they didn't go that well with my Little Black Dress.

+ Cinderella or Snow White?
Definitely Cinderella. I don't think it's only because I saw that Disney movie at an earlier age. "The Cinderella story" is very  appealing, which is why there are so many variations on it in other stories I've liked (Ella Enchanted, Fortune's Wheel). Cinderella goes through a lot, including costume changes that made acting out the story so much better. All Snow White does is ignore "stranger danger" and get accidentally rescued by a prince who has a rather disturbing interest in her despite the fact that she's dead.

+ Did you wake up really early just to watch cartoons on Saturday morning?
Absolutely not. I've never liked cartoons, and I've never liked getting up early just to do nothing.

+ What was your favorite holiday?
Christmas. Of course. Although I also really loved Halloween.

+ Did you ever try to stay up on Christmas just so you could see Santa?
In Norway, you get to meet Santa. Although I do remember trying to look out the window as Santa was leaving, to see what mode of transportation Norwegian Santa used (I didn't believe in flying reindeer, but I didn't expect him to walk everywhere either). The adults physically stopped me from doing this (guess they didn't want me to see him go back into the house to change back into being my uncle)

+ Did you ever watch Bill Nye the Science Guy?
Yes, quite often actually.

+ What grade did you like the best?
Third grade. That's the year we had a rabbit in the classroom! We also had a chameleon, life-size papier maché whales hanging from the ceiling, tadpoles that eventually became frogs, caterpillars that eventually became butterflies, a rainforest stick which we turned over and listened to every morning, computer games in class for the first time and standardized tests (I liked them because we always got muffins when we did them, to make sure everyone had breakfast on test day). Third grade was the year we read biographies - everyone read about Martin Luther King Jr. and everyone chose one other person to read about - and give an oral report on, with costumes. I was Marie Curie, so I got to wear turn-of-the-century clothes and a French braid. Not only was this the greatest look ever in my opinion at that time, it got me out of hockey in gym class.
Fourth grade was pretty fantastic too, because that's the year I was Harriet Tubman in the school play, and started doing more serious history in class. This included making tools that stone age people would need, using only tools and materials that they would have had access to (like no scissors for example) and taking a memorable field trip to Plimouth, which is so historically accurate it can be scary.
Wow, I really miss those years.

+ Ninja Turtles or Power Rangers?
Ugh. Neither. Anyway, I wasn't allowed to watch either show.

+ What Power Ranger were you?
None...never liked them

+ Did you ever own a Chinese jump rope?
I don't think so... what was that again? (quick Wikipedia search) No.

+ What was your favorite thing to eat?
As now, grilled swordfish. And Ben&Jerry's ice cream.

First yellow (kindergarten), then purple (first grade), then blue (second grade and so on)

+ Barney or sesame street?
Sesame Street!

+ Did you prefer, Where in the World is Carmen San Diego or Where's Waldo?
Carmen San Diego. But I wasn't very into either one.

+ What was your first pets name?
The first one died right away. We inherited it from the people who moved out of the apartment we moved into, and it was very old. Then we got Rainbow.

+ Who were your best friends in kindergarten?
Taryn

+ Are you still friends with the person you were best friends with in the third grade?
We don't see each other often (try once every three years or so) but our families in general are in touch.

+ Where did you live when you were 9?
Arlington, Massachusetts

+ What did you want to be when you grew up?
an actress and/or an author

I think I did a few years ago...

+ What was your all time favorite movie?
Either it is my all time favorite, or it was my current favorite. Either way, I don't/didn't have one.

+ Which did you like 'Are You Afraid Of The Dark' or 'AHH! Real Monsters?
Uhh... What? Are You Afraid of the Dark is the only one I've heard of. I saw that when I was too young to see it, and again when I had grown out of it, so I was never a fan.

Nope.

+ Who was your favorite character in Doug?
I don't think I saw that.

What? Guess I've missed out on a lot.

Uh... I didn't really watch much tv, as I think is becoming obvious.

Parents still together – Yes. They have been, more or less, since they were 17. This was cute when my friends and I were 15, and it made us worry when we were 17.

Pets – I had a goldfish named Bubble (the origin of my Livejournal name). My family has a rabbit and a dog, and I think of them as my pets.

FAVORITES:
Colour – Blue is the automatic, default answer. But green is probably really my favorite, especially when it's in my living room combined with off-white and brown.
Number - 13. No one else likes it, and I think I should.
Animal - Sea otters, manatees, wheaten terriers.
Book – Oh, come on! I can't pick one.
Flower – They always die on me.

DO YOU:
Twirl your hair? – Yes,  and run my fingers through it, push it back from my face, hold it in a pony-tail just to get it off my neck, twirl the whole pony-tail into a chignon type style and then let it go - just basically a lot of fidgeting.
Have tattoos? – Absolutely not.
Cheat on tests? – Never.
Like roller coasters? – Hate them! Why wait half an hour in line for a stomach ache?

OPINIONS:
Wish you could live somewhere else? - Yes. Although I do like it here.
Write in cursive or print? – I type.
Know how to drive? – Yes.  But I'm better at walking and taking public transportation.
Own a cell phone? - Yes.  Of course. By the way, I was the last person in my class to get one. I had been telling my parents that all the other kids had cell phones, but it didn't really work until my dad did a research project on cell phones and concluded that all the kids did have cell phones.
Been in love? – Yes. But it is a rare occasion.
Current clothing – A red and white dress.
Current hair – A little long. I'm getting it cut at five today.

Last thing you ate – Breakfast: blueberry müsli cereal and toast with cream cheese
Life on other planets? – There must be. Even my notoriously sceptical dad  believes.
Do you hate yourself? – Of course not. In fact, I like myself quite a lot.
Collect anything? – I liked Elisabeth's answer: "'Collect' has such a 90's ring to it. But yeah, things accumulate." I mainly accumulate white sweaters, books and coffee cards.

First crush – Hard to say. Depends on the definition of crush, but probably this guy in elementary school who's name I can't remember. It didn't last.
You believe in love at first sight? – Interest at first sight. Love at first conversation. I've been there.
You believe in "the one?" - I suppose there might be one person who is the very most perfect match for any one other person. But that isn't necessarily someone you're going to meet, and a lot of other people may be so close to perfect that you won't care. I believe there are a lot of interesting people out there and that perfection is what you make of it.
Are you a tease? – Only when I don't try.
Too shy to make the first move? – Yes. While I'm not shy about getting to know people, I'm shy about going from friends to more than that.

A Daydreamer – Yes.
Sarcastic – Yes. At least my blog is, according to a journalist I don't know who read it. He wrote that my sarcasm makes him laugh out loud. I am very happy about this, by the way.

Yes

Wow, um, I don't know.

Interesting question. If it was the right time and place. He was a bit disappointing though, but maybe we were both just tired.

No. Sometimes I talk really loudly.

28. Do you judge alcoholics?
Not really. I judge other types of addicts more, because almost everyone drinks a little, so the big should I or shouldn't I start question doesn't have such an obvious answer when it comes to alcohol. And most people don't get addicted to alcohol, so it's easier to justify the alcoholic's actions as the result of a problem (s)he genuinely can't control, instead of a series of stupid decisions.

29. Do you watch Family Guy regularly?
Not regularly, but it's fun.

30. Have you ever watched a little kids show?
Yes. You mean after I stopped being a kid? Yeah, I have a much younger sister.

Agnostic is probably the best description, grew up in an Agnostic/Atheist household that still basically followed Christian traditions.

I've taken cruise type boats for transportation.

It used to be popcorn. Now it's coffee.
